JAP (BBSUK) (Paton 1970: 186).
Grows on unshaded or almost unshaded mud exposed
during summer to autumn at edge of Drift Reservoir. Sometimes
plentiful; mainly lacking close associates other than algae,
although very sparse Aphanorrhegma patens
sometimes nearby, and some plants growing near Littorella uniflora or
at base of Scirpus
tabernaemontani.
Only identified with mature spores: spores lacking
