Mainly on Lizard peninsula on serpentinite rock
exposures. Near Pentireglaze (vc2) low on slaty rocks in stone
wall, slightly shaded, with Hypnum cupressiforme
var.
resupinatum.
At Brea Hill (vc2), forming patches covering
several square metres on unshaded to lightly shaded, steep and
gently sloping slaty rock in sheltered, E.-facing part of old
quarry; associated with Homalothecium
sericeum.
