MEETINGS
CISFBR
participates in periodic workshops and seminars, and organises
a Spring meeting with the AGM and biodiversity discussion
meetings in Summer or Autumn. Other activities, including
field meetings, can be additionally arranged at the suggestion
of members. Past meetings have included habitat based
workshops, which were held for marine, freshwater, woodland
and sand-dune habitats.
Together with the United Downs Environment Group and St Day Raceway, CISFBR are putting on a seminar entitled "Nature's Rare Treasures". It highlights some of the amazing wildlife to be found on Cornwall's mine sites, especially those around United Down.
The morning session has three speakers dealing with the wild flowers, mosses and liverworts and butterflies. This will be followed by a visit in the afternoon to the St Day Raceway, where there will be conducted guided tours to search for some of "Natures Rare Treasures"!
We look forward to seeing you. The meeting is free but tickets need to be booked to attend the morning session as there is limited space at Crofthandy Community Hall.
