Range & Status
A southern species in Britain, found particularly the south east.
Regional Distribution
The only records are for Lizard Town and Kynance Cove in 1951. Its present status in Cornwall is unclear.
Habitat & Ecology
The Cornish records are all on serpentine or schist, while the records from England are mostly from the chalk. It is probably a seed-feeder. Habitat records for Cornwall are not documented.
Threats
The area of The Lizard from which the bug is so far known is subject to considerable public pressure which has led to extensive erosion of vegetation in places.
Conservation
Moderate grazing is needed in order to maintain a good range of vegetation
structures and heights, including some tall grassland with a thick moss layer.
