Range & Status
Widespread in Britain, but very localised and increasingly rare.
Regional Distribution
A large population discovered in the species-rich arable fields at West Pentire Farm in 2003 (Alexander, 2004).
Habitat & Ecology
Associated with Fumitory Fumaria spp., the larvae feeding in galls formed on the lower stems; sites tend to be places with soil disturbance.
Threats
Conversion of arable land to pasture.
Conservation
The West Pentire fields are owned and managed in-hand as an arable nature reserve by The National Trust.
