Range & Status
The world distribution of this subspecies is in the Isles of Scilly.
Regional Distribution
Recently reported from St. Mary' s and St. Martin' s, with older records from St. Agnes, Bryher and Samson.
Habitat & Ecology
Seems to be confined to places where the foodplant Rocky Sea-spurrey Spergularia rupicola grows in mats overhanging cliffs at the very edge of the sea.
Threats
No major threats, but locally host plant stands may be subject to damage by trampling visitors.
Conservation
No particular conservation measures are needed, although it may be desirable locally to restrict visitor access where trampling and erosion are seriously affecting the vegetation.
