Range & Status

Syn. P. vittata . Formerly widespread in England, but has become increasingly scarce.

Regional Distribution

An old record from Zennor, and found at Erisey on The Lizard in 1981 (N.C.C survey). A more recent record from SX06 in Cox (2007).

Habitat & Ecology

Associated with various cultivated and wild Brassicaceae, including Wild Cabbage Brassica oleracea and other Brassica spp. crop species, as well as Radish Raphanus spp., Mustard Sinapis spp., Yellow-cress Rorippa spp., etc, but not an economic pest species in Britain. Larvae feed on the roots.
