Range & Status
Thinly scattered over much of southern Britain.
Regional Distribution
Reported in Clark (1906) but then not seen until 1972 when it was reported from Marazion Marsh. It has subsequently been found in three further localities: Coombe Valley and Boconnoc Park, both in 1989, and Loe Pool in 2003.
Habitat & Ecology
Foodplant is Skullcap Scutellaria galericulata .
Threats
Drainage and pollution of wetlands.
Conservation
Marazion Marsh is now managed by the RSPB as a nature reserve; the Coombe Valley locality is on National Trust land; Boconnoc Park is a SSSI and managed by a sympathetic owner.
