Range & Status
Confined to coastal areas in southern Britain; first recognised in 1956.
Regional Distribution
Discovered near St. Erth by R.T. Bannister in 1963, and subsequently found at Kynance Cove in 1970; Main Dale, Lizard in 1980; and Daymer Bay in 1985.
Habitat & Ecology
Favours sparse grass tussocks in dry open sunny and generally sandy situations. It may prove to be rather frequent on the Cornish dune systems.
Threats
Development and damage to areas of sand dunes.
