Epuraea distincta

Range & Status

Known from a wide scatter of areas of southern Britain.

Regional Distribution

Discovered by R.S. Key in Chipman Valley in 1989 (Alexander, 1991b). Subsequently found by K.N.A. Alexander at Nanterrow Farm, Gwithian and South Penquite Farm, Blisland in 2005, and Parishpark Wood, Morwenstow in 2006, and clearly widespread in Cornwall.

Threats

Clearance of streamside vegetation; tree-planting, shading out the shrub layer.

Conservation

Protection of scrubby stream margins from damaging developments.
