Thin scatter of localities across central and south-eastern England.
Regional Distribution
Discovered near Gweek by R.T. Bannister in 1965 - the only record for the whole of the south-west.
Habitat & Ecology
Adults and larvae feed on the foliage of Hawthorn Crataegus monogyna and Grey Willow Salix cinerea , where open-grown along hedgebanks, etc.
Threats
Close-trimming of hedgerows and too regular cutting.
