Range & Status
Very localised in southern England, and has become increasingly scarce and there are few recent records.
Regional Distribution
Until 2008, known from only two records in the 1940' s: West Wood area, Tehidy, and Menabilly, Fowey, both by F.A. Turk. One found near Churchbridge, north of Looe by Ken Preston-Mafham in 2008.
Habitat & Ecology
Feeds on Goosefoot Chenopodium spp. and Orache Atriplex spp. where they grow in early successional situations such as field margins and waste ground, always on freely draining soils.
Threats
Intensification of land use, especially use of herbicides in cereal fields.
Conservation
Establishment of unsprayed headlands in cereal fields.
