Found on moist mossy ground near water, where there is little or no tall vegetation, often in damp patches on otherwise sandy heaths.
Threats
The habitat of the species is susceptible to artificial drainage improvements for agriculture or other development.
Conservation
Protection of all remaining undisturbed wetlands.
