Range & Status
Its distribution is predominantly eastern in Britain.
Regional Distribution
Restricted in Cornwall to The Lizard, where it was discovered at Erisey Barton by Dave Sheppard in 1980.
Habitat & Ecology
Most records are from low or sparse vegetation on dry, often calcareous soils; also known from marshy places. The species is ground-dwelling; feeds on Sheep' s Sorrel Rumex acetosella , White Clover Trifolium repens , Dandelion Taraxacum officinale agg. and Yarrow Achillea millefolium .
Threats
Abandonment of coastal grazing.
Conservation
The known site is within the Lizard NNR.
