Range & Status
Confined to the south-western coasts of Europe, including south-west Britain. It is local, but certainly under-recorded.
Regional Distribution
Widely reported when sought.
Habitat & Ecology
An intertidal species, living primarily deep in rock crevices well down the shore in the Fucus zone and very occasionally under rocks on firm silt or gravel.
Threats
Its situation is generally safe from human pressures. Local disturbance of isolated rocks and stones is damaging, as is oil pollution.
Conservation
No active measures probably needed.
