Range & Status

Neophyte. Suboceanic Southern-temperate species. Widespread in much of Britain, but very rare in Ireland.

Regional Distribution

Most frequent in south-east Cornwall, around Wadebridge (SW97) and the Hayle Towans (SW53). Older records were scattered throughout southern Cornwall.

Habitat & Ecology

A plant of waste-ground, beside coastal footpaths, set-aside arable fields, and disturbed areas of sand-dune.
