Range & Status

This species favours acidic saxicolous substrates and has recently (2000) been recorded from the granite tors on Bodmin Moor. Elsewhere in Britain it occurs on Cox Tor and White Tor in South Devon and in Co. Kerry, Ireland. Last century it was also recorded from Herefordshire and Merioneth. At present there are no apparent threats to this species and the area in which it occurs is owned and managed by The National Trust.
