Range & Status

Widespread north to Durham; recently recorded in south-west Scotland.

Regional Distribution

In 1989 recorded near Padstow, Pendower Beach and Tregagle' s Hole, Nare Head; found in numbers at Treluggan Cliff in 2001.

Habitat & Ecology

Coastal, in wet sparsely vegetated seepages on springs and landslips, with larvae in shallow water. Adults occur from June to August, often on bushes around its open

habitat.

Threats

Any pollution or disturbance of its fragile habitat.

Conservation

Recorded sites are mostly on National Trust land.
