Range & Status
Native. Suboceanic Southern-temperate species. Mainly found in western and southern Britain, south-east Ireland and the Channel Islands.
Formerly widely scattered in Cornwall, since 1999 it is only known from Stanbury Mouth near Bude (SS11) and near Sticker (SW95).
Habitat & Ecology
Always very rare, surprising given the abundance of its host plants (European Gorse Ulex europaeus and Broom Cytisus scoparius ) in Cornwall. Found in coastal grassland and scrub and on a road verge.
Both recent sites are unprotected.
