Range & Status

Native; a Mediterranean fern, which occurs on the Isles of Scilly and Guernsey.

Regional Distribution

Restricted to a number of sites on one area of coastal heathland on Wingletang Down, St. Agnes in the Isles of Scilly (SV80).

Habitat & Ecology

It occurs in short turf on shallow soils around granite rocks on coastal heathland.

Threats

Mainly lack of heathland management or uncontrolled burning.

Conservation

The locality is a SSSI.
