Range & Status
Once widespread in southern England northwards to Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire; now known from few localities. N. fulvicomis is an cleptoparasite of three Andrena species; A. bimaculata , A. tibialis and A. pilipes , the first two species of which are extremely rare, if not absent from Cornwall. There have been numerous post-1980 Cornish records however they have not been substantiated by voucher specimens and as such should be treated with a modicum of doubt. The only substantiated modern record is from a hedge bounding Davidstow Woods in 2007.
