Meconopsis cambrica

Range & Status

Native. Western European Oceanic Boreo-temperate species. Wales, Ireland, Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.

Regional Distribution

Quite frequent as a garden escape, but considered to be native only in the extreme east of Cornwall, in parts of the River Tamar valley.

Habitat & Ecology

Moist shaded situations, along tracks in woodland and river sides. Naturalised plants tend to occur in damp paved areas and wooded edges.
