Range & Status
Very rare on the bark of conifers. In Britain, it has recently been recorded from St. Mary' s (in a coastal conifer plantation) and two localities in Caernarvonshire and Merioneth. There is also a modern record from County Kerry in south-western Ireland, and an old record on wood from the Channel Islands. It may, however, be somewhat under-recorded owing to confusion with fertile specimens of the common L. expallens . There appears to be no immediate threat to this species.
