Range & Status
Native. Mediterranean-Atlantic species. Found in coastal sites from East Anglia to Cornwall, and north to south-western Scotland, including eastern and south-western Ireland and the Channel Islands.
Golden-samphire can be found on sea cliffs at western-most part of West Penwith (SW32), around The Lizard (SW61 and SW71) and along the north coast cliffs from Portreath (SW64) to Boscastle (SX09) and along the south-east coast from Tregantle (SX35) to Rame Head (SX44).
Habitat & Ecology
Steep, very exposed, rocky cliff slopes, often growing with Rock Sea-lavender Limonium binervosum agg.
