Range & Status

A notable Lusitanian species confined to the coasts of southern and western Britain.

Regional Distribution

Found on St. Mary' s and St. Agnes on the Isles of Scilly, and, on mainland Cornwall, at Duckpool, Stanbury Mouth and Marsland Mouth on the northernmost coastline, four sites at Whitsand Bay on the south-east coast, and at Porthhoustock on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula.

Habitat & Ecology

Restricted to coastal sites where it may be found in shingle or boulder beaches and at the base of eroding cliffs.
