Range & Status
Widespread in southern England, but very localised and increasingly rare.
Discovered in the species-rich arable fields at West Pentire Farm in 2003 (Alexander, 2004).
Habitat & Ecology
Associated with a wide variety of broadleaved herbs characteristic of soil disturbance, including Mayweed Matricaria spp. and Cudweed Filago spp.
Conversion of arable land to pasture.
The West Pentire fields are owned and managed in-hand as an arable nature reserve by The National Trust.
