Range & Status

Archaeophyte; European Temperate species. Mainly in the chalk and limestone areas of southern England, Eastern Ireland and rare in Wales.

Regional Distribution

Presumed to be extinct in Cornwall. Formerly found in eleven 1km squares and last seen in 1973 in West Penwith.

Habitat & Ecology

An arable weed and casual of waste places.
