Range & Status

Native. European southern-temperate. Widespread in Southern Britain, most common in East Anglia and eastern England, and scattered elsewhere.

Regional Distribution

Common on the inhabited islands (other than St. Martin' s) of the Isles of Scilly but very rare though widely distributed in Cornwall.

Habitat & Ecology

Bulb-fields, arable fields and disturbed land.
