Range & Status
Recently described as a new species for Britain. The single British record (2002) is from the bark of Hazel Corylus avellana from Dizzard Woods near the coast in north-east Cornwall. Also recorded as a foliicolous, mainly on Box Buxus spp. In north-east Spain (Pyrenees) and southern Italy where it is quite rare. It is abundant on living leaves in the laurisilva in the Canary Islands and Madeira.
