Acari: Eriophyoidea; locally common.
In Cornwall, the host plant occurs in woodland along the edges of rivers such as the Helford and the Fal. Probably this gall is common where the host occurs. VC1: SW72 2007; VC2: SX15 1999.
Habitat & Ecology
Associated species: Wild Service Tree Sorbus torminalis . Galls are round, raised pustules on both leaf surfaces, light yellowish green, changing to brown.
