Range & Status

Widespread and common on heathland in southern Britain.

Regional Distribution

Recorded on all the larger islands in the Isles of Scilly, and also at Penhale Sands, Padstow and The Lizard in four 10km squares. It has recently been recorded from Treluggan Cliff, Veryan Bay in 2007.

Habitat & Ecology

Found on mature heathland and coastal grasslands.

Threats

Loss of habitat.

Conservation

The Lizard site is part of a National Nature Reserve and Penhale Sands is a SSSI.
