Range & Status

Mainly found in the south and east of Britain.

Regional Distribution

Confined to the Lizard in Cornwall: discovered at Caerthillian Cove by Mike Morris in 1970, and Treleaver Cliffs by Paul Gainey in 1998.

Habitat & Ecology

This species occurs mainly amongst mossy turf with calcareous or base-rich grasslands.

Threats

Abandonment of cliff grazing.

Conservation

Moderate grazing is needed in order to maintain a good range of vegetation structures and heights.
