Range & Status

Found in sandy habitats such as lowland heathland, coastal sand dunes, gravel and sand pits. It is a parasitiod on the wasp Tachysphex piliformis and occurs along the south coast from Cornwall to Kent and north to Leicestershire and west Norfolk. It is a rare species in Cornwall with several older records and only three post-1980 records from Porthcurno ' facing the Logan Rock' by Spooner, and more recently from Carn Barrow near Cadgwith (2002) and North Quay, Hayle (2005).
