Range & Status

Native; Submediterranean-Subatlantic species. Mainly found along the coast of England from Dorset to Humberside. A rarity in Wales and Ireland. Found on the Channel Islands.

Regional Distribution

One site only, at Harlyn Bay on the north coast (SW87), and only ever recorded at four

sites in West Cornwall.

Habitat & Ecology

Found close to the sea in damp grassland beside a sewage works. Some of the former sites were probably brackish.

None known.

Conservation

The remaining site is not protected.
