Bryotropha dryadella

Range & Status

Recorded from Cornwall, Devon, Kent and Essex. Recorded from France and the

Mediterranean region. All previous records of B. basaltinella from Cornwall in Smith (1997) are in fact B. dryadella (Heckford & Sattler, 2002).

Regional Distribution

Found on coastal dunes at Penhale and Upton Towans, and also inland at Blisland; there is a probable record from Kynance Cove.

Habitat & Ecology

Occurs in a single generation June \endash August, with the larvae on moss.
