Range & Status

Previously known as A. fuscireagens , this species is a lichenicolous fungus that is commensalistic on Diabaeis baeomyces . Recently (2007) found to be occasional to frequent on china-clay spoil at Higher Trelay, Trelavour Downs and Tresayes Downs near St. Austell. Elsewhere it occurs on heavy metal-rich shingle gravels in Wales (Dyfed, Ystwyth) and near the summits of mountains in north-west Scotland (Sutherland, Ross).
