Range & Status

Archaeophyte. European Southern-temperate species. Declining, but found widely in England, and scattered and in Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Regional Distribution

Scattered in Cornwall, mostly east of Truro. Formerly recorded on Bryher (SV81), Isles of Scilly and across West Cornwall.

Habitat & Ecology

A rare arable weed and sometimes found on roadsides and sometimes in abundance.

Threats

Herbicides and change of crops in arable land-use.

Conservation

Most sites are unprotected.
