Range & Status
Confined to south-west England.
Regularly reported from the Whitsand Bay and Plymouth area around the turn of the century. The only other localities are Falmouth (Champion, 1897) and most recently on Loe Bar in 1958 by R.T. Bannister.
Habitat & Ecology
A sea-shore species, above and within the intertidal zone.
Coastal protection works.
Natural beach transitions should be protected wherever they still survive. Loe Bar is owned by The National Trust.
